OFFICIAL LAUNCH On June 29, the Guizhou Jiaying New Energy Intelligent Industrial Base officially commenced production. This major engineering project, located in Baiyun District, represents a significant milestone in the region's high-tech manufacturing sector.
PROJECT OVERVIEW & CAPABILITIES Constructed by Guizhou Jiaying Technology Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 4 billion RMB, the base is dedicated to the production of advanced energy storage series batteries and high-rate (high C-rate) series batteries. These products are critical power solutions for several high-growth industries, including:
1. New Energy Vehicles (EVs)
2. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs/Drones)
2. Telecommunication & Power Tower Energy Storage
3. Residential/Home Energy Storage
PHASE I SPECIFICATIONS The project is being developed in two phases. Phase I, with an investment of 800 million RMB, occupies over 40,000 square meters of standard factory space. It features four cutting-edge lithium-ion battery production lines. Once fully operational, Phase I will achieve:
Annual Capacity: 1 Gigawatt-hour (GWh)
Annual Output Value: >800 million RMB
Employment: Creating over 400 jobs
Inside the manufacturing facility, the production process covers over 10 major workshops and 30+ specific sub-processes, including mixing, coating, electrode manufacturing, die-cutting, stacking, electrolyte injection, formation, and grading. Currently, one production line is fully operational, with the remaining three scheduled to come online in the second half of this year.
GOVERNMENT SUPPORT & RAPID DEPLOYMENT To ensure the smooth execution of the project, the Baiyun District government established a dedicated task force led by district leadership immediately after the project signing last October. Despite challenges posed by the pandemic, the project moved rapidly from interior construction in March to trial production on June 24.
Through coordinated efforts and "wall-chart operations" (timeline visualization), the facility completed renovation in mid-April, equipment installation in late April, and electrical commissioning in mid-May.
FUTURE EXPANSION (PHASE II) According to the strategic cooperation agreement, Guizhou Jiaying will launch the construction of Phase II within this year. The second phase involves a planned investment of 3.2 billion RMB and will be located south of Guanyun Avenue in the Maijia area of Baiyun District.
